The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required standards of quality and compliance. This role involves inspecting products and components at various stages of the manufacturing process, identifying any defects or deviations from quality standards, and documenting findings for further analysis and corrective actions.

This position works rotating shifts. The two shifts are the day shift from 7:15am to 4:15pm and the afternoon shift from 3pm to 11:30pm.

Responsibilities & Expectations:
  • Conducts visual and functional inspections of products at various stages of the production process.
  • Following directions given and relevant SOP's, ensures all inbound product into the facility (including packaging components) is inspected and approved, prior to being received into inventory.
  • Performs periodic inspection of warehouse inventory to ensure it meets all required specifications and requirements.
  • Documents and reports any deviations or non-conformities to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participates in audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
  • Utilizes measuring tools and SOPs to verify product dimensions, tolerances, and other quality requirements.
  • Performs spot checks and sampling of products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Working collaboratively with the manufacturing team, identifies and troubleshoots quality issues to recommend solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Assists with development and implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality system.
  • Communicate quality issues and concerns with production personnel and management as required.
  • Conducts environmental testing to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work independently where required, but also able to work collaboratively with the quality team and operations teams.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft suite of programs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related post-secondary education/training is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a quality control role, preferably related to production or manufacturing.
