Main Duties:

The following is a general description of duties that are done regularly in this role.

Please note that employees will be asked to perform duties outside of the following to assist in other Company-related activities as required.


  • Lead analytical test method validation and verification protocols.
  • Lead equipment qualification protocols.
  • Lead QC equipment maintenance and calibration program.
  • Lead laboratory deviation investigations and develop investigative protocols.
  • Train QC personnel on lab methods and instrumentation.
  • Perform QC internal audits.
  • Develop and perform test protocols and summarize results.
  • Report and participate in the resolution of all deviations.
  • Participate in the assignment and execution of CAPA.
  • Lead/review Change Controls, Deviations/Investigations, Risk Assessments, assessing proposed changes to validated processes to identify requirements necessary to maintain validated status.
  • Follow all established laboratory, regulatory, safety and environmental procedures.
  • Author, review and update SOP's as needed; understand and follow complex written procedures.
  • Must follow good documentation practices in all aspects and phases of work.
  • Provide reports for review in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the review and approval of QC data.
  • Maintain the safety and orderliness of the lab.
  • Material handling and inventory control, including controlled substances.
  • Adhere to company policies and site SOP's.

Qualifications:

  • The qualifications required for this position include a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a cGMP, GLP setting. Experience with HPCL/UPLC systems is required.
