The Burnaby Association for Community Inclusion (BACI) provides a range of supports and services to people with developmental disabilities.

Outreach services at BACI ensures that people supported have the opportunity to pursue personalized goals in a valued and supportive environment. This role mostly supports people to live independently in community.
  • This position requires skills or experience working with people with developmental disabilities to identify and accomplish a broad range of goals and acquire skills to flourish in independent living.
  • Regular Full-Time

  • This position works directly with people in community and home settings
  • Hourly Rate: $23.10$26.91

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have a strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with people who may have mental health issues, and/or substance abuse issues etc.
  • Background in direct program delivery in the Community Living field with a demonstrated working knowledge of communitybased programs and CLBC.
  • Knowledge of the principles of harm reduction is an asset.
  • Ability to design and implement person centred supports.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to be nonjudgmental, respectful and empathetic.
  • Good organization and time management skills and the ability to work effectively with families, social workers, CLBC facilitators and professionals.
  • Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and/or weekends and evening.
  • Working knowledge of computers required.
  • Qualifications:
  • Graduation from a university or Community College with a degree or diploma in Human Services. An equivalent of education and experience may be considered. First Aid, CPR, TB clearance and a valid unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver's license required. Use of personal vehicle required.
