Are you ready to take on a challenging leadership role? Look no further We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to provide exceptional leadership and direction for our manufacturing unit or operation.

As the leader of our team, you will have the opportunity to oversee a staff of Supervisors and/or Technicians across multiple shifts, managing a team of over 20 employees. Your main responsibilities will include interpreting site directives and establishing a manufacturing plan that effectively meets production, quality, safety, and financial objectives. By coordinating manufacturing activities, you will strive to achieve or even surpass key performance metrics, driving our operation towards continuous improvement.

As the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will not only provide leadership and direction but also play a crucial role in personnel scheduling and development, fostering a culture of high performance within your team. You will be responsible for ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across quality, materials management, engineering, and EH&S. Additionally, as the primary driver of customer service excellence, you will be accountable for the effectiveness and compliance of our manufacturing unit or operation. Responsibility:

  • Provide input to and implement operational and financial goals and objectives for the manufacturing area assigned. Track and trend performance levels and maximize the operations.
  • Manage the manufacturing area to meet the site business strategies in line with budget targets.
  • Recommend and implement ideas to reduce costs, adapt and transform the organization to meet changing business needs.
  • Assist teams in troubleshooting manufacturing issues. Ensure staff is provided technical knowledge and training to efficiently produce the highest quality products.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross-functional partners to synthesize action plans, timelines and budgets to meet project and product goals.
  • Develop and manage staff through hiring, managing performance, developing talent and providing clear expectations.
  • Ensure all labor and equipment performance measures are met. Responsible for completing established goals, prioritizing project work and controlling and coordinating all activities and improvement efforts across manufacturing areas.
  • Meet batch release KPIs by managing the post-production review and non-conformance investigation processes in a timely manner.
  • Manage the employee relations climate to ensure that our AbbVie Way is realized and an environment exists where all employees have the opportunity to develop to their maximum potential.
  • Coach supervisors and coordinators in the area and establish clear expectations with them and all employees regarding responsibilities, goals and behaviors and champion and model exceptional AbbVie performance and talent management practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required in a technical field: Advanced degree in a technical field preferred.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of GMP pharmaceutical related experience including work as an individual contributor building technical expertise and proved project management skills.
  • At least five (5) years in a managerial position as supervisor/ leader of diverse teams in Operations (Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering etc.)
  • Experience working with both Single Use/Stainless Steel Bioreactors and/or downstream processing equipment including Chromatography Skids/Columns and UFDF Skids.
  • Knowledge of Cell Culture and/or major downstream operations including chromatography and UFDF.
  • Business acumen coupled with functional leadership experience is required to ensure effective direction in a complex organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving skills
