Job Title: Machine Operator at Rosenbloom

Company Overview: Rosenbloom, a nearly century-old family business and a division of ProAmpac, is the biggest supplier in Canada exclusively providing products to major fast food chains (McDo, AW, Tim, etc.), supermarkets, and pharmacies (Pharmaprix, Uniprix, Jean-Coutu, etc.). Their products are distributed coast to coast and some are even exported to the United States.

  • Hourly Rate: $32.13/hour for the first 6 months, $34.03/hour after 16 months (including night shift premium), with a 3% annual increase
  • Job Type: Night Shift

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all manufacturing steps on 2 high-capacity automatic machines (500 bags/minute)
  • Handle raw material supply
  • Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and lubrication
  • Diagnose issues and make necessary adjustments
  • Execute product changes (printing setup)
  • Conduct quality control

Machine Components:

  • Flexo printing (2-4 colors)
  • The folder/former
  • The packer (500 bags/pack)

This role demands a combination of common sense and mechanical expertise to perform repairs and precise adjustments effectively.

Additional Information:

  • Training Duration: 8 weeks
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:30 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. (days start the day before), 36.75 hours/week
  • Job Stability: No layoffs in the last 12 years, even during a pandemic
  • Growth Rate: Annual growth of 5%-10%
  • Overtime: Frequent overtime on Saturdays
  • Vacation: Guaranteed summer vacation and Christmas holidays
