Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review Bill of Materials, Drawings, Project Scope and prepare for site activities
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Perform comprehensive, onsite audiovisual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers and control systems.
  • Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables
  • Perform complex installations (anchoring, cable mounts, unistrut)
  • Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Installation Manager and Account Managers on status of project and task lists
  • Troubleshoot AV issues and provide solutions
  • Willing to work overtime as needed (time in lieu) to meet promises to clients
  • Willing to work out of town, overnight travel will be required from time to time

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control
  • Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Willing to mentor Junior level installers

Education and/or Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of audiovisual integration experience
  • Postsecondary education in Electronics, Broadcasting, or a relevant field is preferred
  • Crestron/Extron/AMX programming/configuration experience preferred
  • Avixa CTS or CTS-I Certification
  • Industry recognized training: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante

Safety:

  • Bondable, clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts
  • Trade certifications: WHMIS, fall arrest, scissor lift and other safety Certifications
