THE OPPORTUNITY


The Production Runner is responsible for ensuring that all slicing lines, slicers, and Packaging lines have a constant and steady flow of product from the Quick Chill boxes, scanning system and scaling room.


  • Ensure all slicing lines, slicing rooms do not run out of product on the line
  • Organize, scale, scan, and temper products to run on Slicing / Packaging lines in a timely manner
  • Sort product as required
  • Prepare and transfer product to production room for further processing
  • Scan products into ERP System
  • Chill product in the Chill Box until appropriate temperature is reached before delivering it to the line.
  • Work in conjunction with the Product Runner and the Slicer Operator to determine the correct flow of product to ensure line consistency
  • Perform inventory of the coolers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the Packaging Supervisor.
  • Assist Product Runner to organize the cooler to ensure accurate location of the product.
  • Communicate with Lead Hand and Supervisors regarding any potential quality concerns or mechanical issues.
  • Ensure the appropriate product is ready for the next shift
  • Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a strong communication skills; written and verbal
  • Must be able to lift 60 Lbs.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge and experience of safe food processing practices
  • Intermediate math skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to multitask
