THE OPPORTUNITY
The Production Runner is responsible for ensuring that all slicing lines, slicers, and Packaging lines have a constant and steady flow of product from the Quick Chill boxes, scanning system and scaling room.
- Ensure all slicing lines, slicing rooms do not run out of product on the line
- Organize, scale, scan, and temper products to run on Slicing / Packaging lines in a timely manner
- Sort product as required
- Prepare and transfer product to production room for further processing
- Scan products into ERP System
- Chill product in the Chill Box until appropriate temperature is reached before delivering it to the line.
- Work in conjunction with the Product Runner and the Slicer Operator to determine the correct flow of product to ensure line consistency
- Perform inventory of the coolers at the end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the Packaging Supervisor.
- Assist Product Runner to organize the cooler to ensure accurate location of the product.
- Communicate with Lead Hand and Supervisors regarding any potential quality concerns or mechanical issues.
- Ensure the appropriate product is ready for the next shift
- Responsible for maintaining food safety standards in work responsibilities and report food safety issues to QA immediately.
- Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Must be able to lift 60 Lbs.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must possess a high level of attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience of safe food processing practices
- Intermediate math skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to multitask
