General Labourer/driver

Next Truck Sales, a used transport truck dealer in Breslau, ON, is looking to hire a permanent, full time truck driver & general labourer.

40 hours / week.

Paid training is provided.

Rate of pay is $30.00 / hour.

Overview of job description duties (but not limited to) are as follows:

  • Pick up and deliver trucks to local customers/vendors. A-Z license required. Home every night. (Manual transmission is preferred)
  • Perform diesel emission testing at our facility as well as performing mobile in customers yards (training is provided)
  • Remove and install transport truck wheels (training is provided)
  • Operate wheel polishing machine and perform maintenance routines as needed. (training provided)
  • Perform minor mechanical tasks on trucks

IE:
remove license plates, replace mudflaps, service batteries, etc.

  • Clean and detail transport trucks as required (training provided)

Skillset requirements:

  • Clean Drivers Abstract with minimum A-Z license.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission is preferred, willing to learn how to drive manual.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of power and hand tools usage in order to perform minor jobs ie: replace mudflaps, remove license plates, service batteries, etc. (drills / grinders / impact tools / ratchets / sockets / etc);
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) using safe lifting methods.
  • Forklift certification preferred; (but not mandatory)
  • Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to physically work during 8-hour shifts with potential overtime.
  • Achieve your daily goals consistently.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and requirements.
