The Ottawa Hospital Wellness Clinic for Staff and Medical Staff
Background
TOH has invested in a Staff and Physician Wellness Centre as part of its Wellness Program Strategic Plan. It will offer various health and wellness services onsite, tailored for TOH staff and physicians. Services include Family Medicine coverage, Mental Health services, vaccinations, TB testing, relaxation rooms with massage chairs and yoga, breathing, and stretching rooms.
With 1 in 6 people in Ottawa lacking a Family Physician, many TOH Staff and Physicians, along with their families, face challenges accessing primary care crucial for their well-being and ability to care for patients effectively.
TOH has introduced a Wellness Clinic for Staff and Medical Staff as part of the Wellness Program. This clinic offers family physician coverage to staff, medical staff, and their families. Applications are welcome from Family Physicians interested in joining a FHO to enhance our practice. Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
- We are seeking family physicians dedicated to comprehensive patient care, fostering a collaborative team environment, maintaining work-life balance, and pursuing professional growth.
- TOH is broadening access to family medicine expertise across inpatient and outpatient services, creating numerous collaboration opportunities with different programs based on the candidate's preferences.
- Flexible operating days and hours are possible to accommodate the target audience's needs.
- The preferred start date is flexible but immediate availability is advantageous.
- Our Ideal Candidates:
· Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional patient care.
· Exhibit strong interdisciplinary teamwork skills.
· Hold Family Medicine (CCFP) certification.
· Bilingualism is a plus.
· Maintain an active license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
· Good standing registration with the CMPA is required.
Practice Setting
- The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is a dynamic health care community with a diverse team of over 15,000 staff, physicians, residents, and volunteers.
- The TOH Wellness Clinic for Staff and Medical Staff is situated at 1919 Riverside Drive, adjacent to the Riverside Campus.
- This opportunity offers NO OVERHEAD COSTS to physicians and is supported by:
- Nursing assistance
- Access to necessary supplies
- Utilization of the electronic documentation platform (EPIC)
- Exposure and endorsement to TOH Staff and Physician community
