About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Physician to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a Specialist Physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of clinical medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and prepare research papers for publication and presentation.
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases.
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, and provide education to patients and families on disease management and prevention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
  • Completion of a residency program in pediatrics or a related field.
  • Board certification in pediatrics or a related field.
  • 5 years or more of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
Working Conditions

The Specialist Physician will work in a hospital setting, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity are essential for this role.
