First Onsite is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a BILINGUAL (French) Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis for 4 months.

This position pays up to a maximum of 25K for 4 months - depending on experience.


An independent and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator/Advisor for a 4-month contract position, with a focus on nurturing a culture of safety within our organization.


A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR


As the Health and Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our workplace in the region of Quebec.


Your day-to-day activities will involve implementing and overseeing the company Health and Safety program, developing and delivering safety training, identifying and assessing potential hazards, and providing recommendations for corrective action.


You will prepare monthly safety reports, work closely with branch and job site leaders, as well as government and regulatory officials, to ensure the effective implementation of health and safety policies and programs.

You will also ensure compliance with all health and safety laws, standards, and company requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Health and Safety from the Construction or Restoration industry
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • University Degree or College diploma in Health and Safety, Business, or related field.
  • Valid Drivers License and clean driver's abstract.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Indepth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and practices.
  • Selfdriven and resourceful professional with the ability to solve problems outside their area of expertise.
