are looking for a Director of Materials & LogisticsResponsible for providing overall strategic and operational direction for AMTB Materials Management and Logistics activities, including directing and managing all aspects of the company's Freight, Warehousing, Planning and Inventory regionally.

As a member of the AMTB Leadership Team, the Director is responsible for contributing to the overall business strategy, establishing goals & objectives; external relationships and partnerships with Forwarders, Carriers and other vendors.

A key goal is to optimize our organization's Materials Management and Logistics. This position closely collaborates with Plant Materials and Logistics, Operations and Finance.

Responsibilities:


Execute projects to assist North American Plants to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company's operationResponsible for the development, coordination and implementation of regional Inventory, planning and Logistics strategies & systems.

T implementation and operation of CMS systems and the development of best practices in coordination with plant and other operational lead principles throughout the businessesIntroduce improvements in planning, scheduling and inventory management processes at different plant locations.

The work will be done plant personnelBe an effective coach and mentor to Materials/Logistics personnel at different AMTB locations on matters related to planning, scheduling LogisticsDevelops and provides operational level strategic direction for NA Materials and Logistics teams.

Leads and facilitates efforts in support of world-class practices.

Researches and recommends new products, processes, systems, policies, and procedures to pursue in the futureEnsure robust programs are in place for the assessment of Customer Delivery, Freight, Warehousing, Premium charges and inventory management and logisticsAssists in the strategic development and upgrades of system software to meet World Class Manufacturing goalsEnsure application of established corporate financial controls by providing operating management direction and support to the implement policies, instructions, and control proceduresDemonstrates leadership by establishing credibility; acting with integrity; showing commitment; inspiring, motivating and guiding purchasingUpholds the principles of the AMTB Business ProtocolsMust understand and respect the laws and cultures in countries which AMTB conducts business & compliance'sIdentify security risk and developments of strategic plans to addressFulfill all Health and Safety & Environmental responsibilities as identified in the HSE Management Standards, and ISO 14001 Management Systems.


Responsible for Budget preparation and planningRequirements & Knowledge:

Microsoft suite - Word, Excel, ProjectERP – Epicor CMS, with AS400 MRP (CMS).Global Market Place experience required10+ years of experience in a senior management position or 10+ years of leadership experience with a track record of progressionDemonstrated ability to lead in a large matrix organization, work collaboratively with colleagues, and get results through othersKnowledgeable of business quoting and launch processes, industry best practices, standards and performance metricsMust have demonstrated success in satisfying OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in a complex, competitive automotive marketBroad functional experience in areas of strategic planning, Materials, manufacturing, purchasing, supply chain management, and LogisticsExperience with total quality manufacturing management and continual improvementExperience in Lean Manufacturing environment is a plusAble to ensure that all systems in the organization are aligned toward achieving overall strategic goalsContinually communicate and reinforce the highest priority strategic initiatives to keep the organization focused on the right thingsHold others accountable for meeting the needs of the total business rather than optimizing the performance of only their areaEnsure that the organization has broad strategies and plans that focus on market needs and competitive advantage; set and articulate a compelling vision for the organizationStrong planning and organizational skillsStrong team playerWhile we sincerely appreciate all applications, only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted.
