International & Indigenous Languages (Elementary) Program
Language and Location:
Italian (In Person) - Frank Ryan Catholic Intermediate School, 128 Chesterton Drive
Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Must have knowledge of and fluency of the language (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);
Knowledgeable about the culture, history and traditions and be able to integrate them into classroom activities appropriate to the age group;
Comfortable teaching online, in a classroom or a combination of both methods. OCSB will provide some training, support and mentoring.
In addition, the following will be considered an asset:
Previous experience working with children and/or youth;
Good computer skills (Google Apps, Microsoft Office).
COMPENSATION:
Instructors - $23.00/hour ($29.50 hour if OCT certified) plus 4% vacation pay (depending on qualifications).
