As announced by the Treasury Board of Canada, Indigenous Services Canada employees are expected to perform their duties from a Government of Canada physical workplace at least 2-3 days each week, or 40-60% of their regular schedule.

The immediate need is to staff a bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB) position, and anticipated upcoming vacancies with an English Essential language profile.

A secondary school diploma or an *acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to this position.

  • An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as:
  • A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma OR
  • Completion of two (2) years of secondary school AND two (2) years of work experience in a field relevant to the position.

Experience in managing conflicting priorities, multi-tasking and working under time-sensitive conditions.
Experience in maintaining Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

Experience using a financial system such as SAP.
Experience working with First Nations, Inuit or Metis.

Experience using a scheduling software such as but not limited to UKG Nurse Scheduler (scheduling vacation requests, unexpected leaves, shifts, etc.).
