A Medical Office Assistant is an essential support role for our Ophthalmologists in order to provide quality care to their patients every single day.


Main responsibilities of a Medical Office Assistant:

  • Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining doctors' daily schedule
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of Reception Desk
  • Aiding in any additional clinical work as needed such as administrative work, inventory, etc.
  • Great adaptability in a busy and fastpaced work environment
  • Excellent communication, organization and multitasking skills
  • Strong leadership and initiative
  • Enthusiasm in learning new skills and taking on unfamiliar challenges/experiences
  • Experience with EMR systems or comfortable with computers/technology
  • Medical background/knowledge is an asset
  • PHIA and BLS/First Aid training is an asset

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, with possibility of occasional weekend/overtime shift rotations

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$16.00-$19.00 per hour
