GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:


Reporting directly to the Quality Systems Manager, the Supplier QA Analyst - Electronics, will maintain a best-in-class Supplier Quality Program that will drive supplier quality performance by implementation of appropriate supplier controls and performance indicators.

This role works closely with the Supply Chain Manager and the Supply Chain team. This role does not have any direct reports.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible, accountable, and own all supplier quality KPI's, including monthly reporting to management team
  • Conduct supplier related audits on potential, new and current suppliers
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and the Product Development teams to develop new suppliers and, ensure design for quality is embedded in their processes to ensure repeatability, predictability, and scalability
  • Measure reliability of the manufacturing processes and effectiveness of supplier's quality management and assurance systems
  • Identify risk in supplier's manufacturing processes and systems, partner with Supply Chain in the execution of supplier risk mitigation efforts
  • Conducting process audits of suppliers to verify compliance and effective implementation of QMS, CAR's etc.
  • Create, maintain, and review the Supplier Audits Results database
  • Assess, evaluate, and drive effective implementation of (RCCA) Root Cause Corrective Actions for supplier nonconformance until closure
  • Facilitate FAI (First Article Inspection) and part inspections
  • Develop and communicate supplier quality performance reports (internal/external)
  • Travel approximately 40% of the time, via car to visit suppliers on a regular basis or on an asneeded basis
  • All other duties and projects as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Strong willingness to learn new products and processes under manufacturing environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite (superior Excel and PowerPoint skills)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 / AS 9100 standards and why they exist
  • Strong understanding of relationship between quality standards and processes
  • Proficient in tools such as PPAP, APQP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA and SPC
  • Proficient in problem solving (8D, 5Why, Drill Deep and Wide, Six)
  • Must have a readily available vehicle and valid driver license to be able to travel to supplier sites/locations
