Job Summary

Administrative Support, coordinate linehaul traffic and data entry for Overland West Freight Lines Linehaul Division

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 21:00-5:30

Essential Functions:

  • As part of the linehaul team, establish, modify and execute nightly dispatch plan
  • Update trip sheets and records in the dispatch system, ensuring the accuracy of miles paid and log hours
  • Day to Day communication, via phone and ELD, with drivers to ensure proper load instructions are passed along and carried out
  • Communicate with cartage to ensure they meet inbound cut times
  • Manage breakdown situations and follow up with maintenance to ensure that freight is moved through to destination as quickly as possible
  • Monitor all outbound cut-off times to protect service
  • Monitor linehaul driver performance
  • Enlist and coordinate third party carriers to move overflow loads in a cost-efficient manner
  • Track linehaul driver vacation schedules and keep information current

What a successful candidate will bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years linehaul dispatch experience in the logistic and transportation industry
  • Familiar with operations related to Long Combination Vehicles (LCV)
  • Strong organizational skills, planning skills, and multitasking ability
  • A customer service mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary to be negotiated dependent on experience
