SEEKING EDITOR/CREATOR
Are you an accomplished and versatile video editor/creator with a passion for products and consumer marketing? Can you produce videos that both educate and excite? Are you a passionate professional capable of directing, shooting and editing videos, but also possess an all-hands-on deck attitude to help out on the shoot?


If you thrive in a small but ambitious team environment and have examples of directing, shooting and editing videos for online marketing purposes, we want to hear from you.


Responsibilities and Duties
Create highly engaging videos with a focus on editing and some shooting
Putting together a marketing-focused script or story with a strong message
Editing videos using Final Cut X, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro
Shooting interviews, events, vlogs, commercials and other marketing videos
Working with the marketing team to understand what type of content and products we need to push
Provide basic to advanced video motion graphic design support on video projects
Take part in creative sessions by brainstorming, providing creative input, suggesting innovative concepts, and making creative recommendations
Accurately proof of all work - exceptional attention to detail is a must
Manage numerous projects, including expectations with respect to timelines, scope, standards, priority and provide timely escalation of issues
Process a high volume of requests and coordinate competing priorities effectively by balancing scheduled and unscheduled requirements.

RESUMES WITH LINKS TO PORTFOLIO OF EDITING PROJECTS/WORK WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY

Requirements:

Video Production: 1-2 years preferred
Video Editing: 1-2 years preferred

  • Production experience a plus
  • Experience using professional video/photo equipment
  • Photoshop and Illustrator proficiency
  • Experience with Lightroom and Adobe CC (Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Animate and add graphics. Edit, colour correct, and mix audio
  • Extensive experience in postproduction and motion graphics software, including Adobe
  • Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, Photoshop CC, Adobe Media Encoder CC, Final Cut X and Audition CC
  • Familiar with lightroom
  • Experience in postproduction tools, formats, best practices, and processes
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies and environments
  • Effective troubleshooting and problemsolving skills to develop creative visual ideas
  • Set up lights and sound equipment. Assist in shoots and operate a camera
  • Selfdirected and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Internship Component


You will be paired with our in-house director and editor, and meet with the social media manager and business leads, including the CEO.

You will learn about how the product is manufactured and marketed, both in-store at big-box retailers, and digitally.

Schedule:
Full-time. This paid internship turns into a full-time job opportunity starting September 2023 upon successful completion of internship.

Salary:
$18.00 per hour
