About the role:
Operates and maintains mechanical, electrical and instrumentation related systems used in the operations of the Municipality's wastewater treatment facilities including lift stations in an efficient manner.
Must be available for on-call work on a scheduled basis for after-hour emergencies.Salary Range:
$ $32.97 per hour based on 40 hours per week, plus standby pay. This is a permanent full-time unionized position.

Education & experience required:
- Minimum two years postsecondary education diploma in Electrical Mechanical Technician, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation training, minimum oneyear postsecondary education certificate in Industrial Mechanical training and oneyear experience working at the trade, or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain Operator In-Training certification within 6 months from date of hire.
- Ability to obtain Wastewater Collection Level 1 certification within 1 year from date of hire.
- Possess a valid Nova Scotia Driver's License
Pay:
$28.92-$32.97 per hour
