Full Time Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a Full time Maintenance Technician at Hampton Inn & Suites Truro.

The individual would be responsible for maintaining the hotel through ongoing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring that all mechanical systems are operating in accordance with the standards of the hotel.


Areas of Accountability

  • Complete all preventive maintenance items and advise the General Manager of any malfunction of the equipment or unsafe devices or conditions promptly.
  • One room per day to be examined and all issues repaired, touched up and finished using preventive maintenance program.
  • Preventive maintenance and daily checks of the pool
  • Participate in clean up on a daily basis; parking lot garbage, take guest room garbage to the garbage bins.
  • Winter snow removal and shoveling as required.
  • Maintain and operate all power tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Maintain all work areas and maintenance storage rooms in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Respond to all emergency situations on property

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$18.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Truro, NS B6L 0C9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
