Position Details:

What you will do:

  • Ensures files are being handled in line with service level agreements and in compliance with internal claims procedures and external legislative requirements
  • Leads, manages and develops claim associates to maximize full performance potential
  • Accountable for the customer experience as delivered by the team, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered internally and externally
  • Tracks and coaches to internal Key Performance Indicators
  • Assist in executing claims corporate strategies
  • Provides regular feedback to associates, manager and liaise with other internal departments

Who you are:

  • Postsecondary education required
  • CIP designation is an asset
  • Prior experience in Maritime and/or SABS claims handling
  • Working knowledge of the Insurance Act and other legislation governing accident benefits claims (Section B)
  • Adjusting/Supervisory License (s) in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI is an asset
  • Knowledge of claims operating systems is an asset
  • Progressive experience in training/coaching employees
