Job Description:
Intech International Inc. is currently seeking Probe Operators for the Unit 1 Feeder Inspection outage at Bruce Power (B241N). As a Probe Operator (PO), your main task will be using ultrasonic probes to measure pipe thickness, along with handling various support duties.

Responsibilities:
- Working in a plastic radiation suit.
- Operating a scissor lift.
- Conducting UT scans in the reactor building.
- Performing calibration checks on tools.
- Ensuring correct component verification.
- FME logging and tooling integrity checks.
- Operating rad survey tools.
- Removing and reinstalling 20-pound rad shielding tiles.
- Assisting in wearing plastic suits.
- Participating in other assigned activities by the Platform Coordinator.

Requirements:
Valid OPG or Bruce Power Site Access clearance is necessary for on-site work at a nuclear plant facility. If you do not have Site Access clearance, we will support you in the application process. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for commuting to the work site and training venues. Completion of an NDT/NDE program is preferred.

Candidates who accept employment must be flexible with schedule adjustments and project extensions. Workers must have at least 1 rem of available dose in 2024. All workers involved in outage projects must:
- Be comfortable with heights.
- Be at ease in confined spaces.
- Be accustomed to working in a radiological environment.
- Be willing to work wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like a rubberized aspirated suit.
- Be capable of 12-hour or longer shifts.
- Be ready for night shifts if needed (shift premium is provided for night hours as per the Quality Control Agreement).
- Successfully fulfill medical and site procedural requirements.
- Successfully pass a security clearance background check through CSIS/CPIC.
- Successfully complete employer and customer site safety requirements.
- Successfully complete job competency training.
- Pass a performance assessment post-training.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for trainees is $21.08 per hour with additional compensation for overtime and doubletime as per the Quality Control Agreement. A daily per diem is offered to workers with commuting challenges. Technical and safety training are paid for and provided. This position is a temporary, part-time contract from end of January to beginning of March. Candidates need to be available for evenings, weekends, and potentially night shifts throughout the project. The hours worked count towards membership in the Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC) and CGSB's Ultrasonic Level 1 qualification experience.
