Ultrasonic (Ut) Probe Operator

Intech International Inc. is seeking Probe Operators for the upcoming Unit 1 Feeder Inspection outage at Bruce Power (B241N).

Probe Operators (PO) will be responsible for utilizing ultrasonic probes to assist in the thickness measurements of pipes. The PO will also be responsible for other minor support tasks.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working in a plastic radiation suit.
- Operating a scissor lift.
- Performing UT scans in the reactor building.
- Performing calibration checks on tooling.
- Performing correct component verification.
- Performing FME logging and tooling integrity checks.
- Operating rad survey tools.
- Removing and reinstalling 20-pound rad shielding tiles.
- Assisting in donning plastic suits.
- Assisting in other activities, as directed by the Platform Coordinator.

**Requirements**:

- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are needed to travel to and from the work site and training locations.
- Completion of a NDT/NDE program is preferred.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Workers accepting this call require at least 1 rem of available dose in 2024. No regulatory limits will be exceeded but may be reached. Site supervision will endeavor to minimize and equalize dose among the workers.
- All workers supporting outage projects must:

- Be comfortable working from heights.
- Be comfortable working within confined spaces.
- Be comfortable working within a radiological environment.
- Be comfortable working while wearing the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) i.e., a rubberized aspirated suit.
- Be able to work for 12 hour or longer shifts.
- Able to work the night shift if required (shift premium paid for night shift hours per the Quality Control Agreement).
- Successfully complete medical and site procedural requirements.
- Successfully complete a security clearance background check through CSIS/CPIC.
- Successfully complete employer and customer site and safety requirements.
- Successfully complete job competency training.
- Pass a performance evaluation after training is complete.

**Compensation**
- The hourly rate for trainee's is $21.08 per hour. Overtime and doubletime rates are paid per the Quality Control Agreement.
- A daily per diem is paid to workers who are unable to reasonably commute daily from their residence to the job site location.
- All technical and safety training is paid and provided.
