Role Summary:Reporting to the VP, Corporate Partnership, the Director, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for generating revenue through the pursuit of new partnerships as well as growing and retaining current partnerships for all Oilers Entertainment Group properties.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for proactively pursuing and renewing sponsorship sales with corporate partners
  • Increases revenue for OEG through the sale of corporate partnership packages and media packages
  • Increases existing business and generate new opportunities through a sales process that includes discovery, account development, presentations, negotiations and closing.
  • Cultivates a network of prospective clients
  • Manages assigned categories to optimize overall revenue
  • Assists with development of new properties
  • Achieves agreed-upon sales targets
  • Manages and foster personal relationships with existing portfolio of clients
  • Contributes to department planning and execution of client hospitality events
  • Works closely with Corporate Sales service team to ensure fulfillment and over delivery of contract benefits are met
  • Contributes to planning and execution of select special events
  • Contributes to preparation of post season reports for assigned accounts
  • Monitors and assists Finance in accounts receivables for personal accounts
  • Generates account plans and reports
  • Contributes to Corporate Sales annual plans

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 10+ years related experience in sales, advertising, sponsorship, or marketing
  • Sports and Entertainment related experience considered an asset
  • Knowledge of television and/or radio advertising a definite asset
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in corporate partnership industry
  • Strong understanding of various social media platforms
  • Significant experience in the development and delivery of presentations
  • Strong computer capabilities with Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, OneNote, Word and Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of poise and professionalism
  • Ability to be innovative and to provide viable business solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to collaborate with diverse internal and external clients
  • Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly
  • Ability to work flexible and unpredictable hours on weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
