Sun Glow Window Covering Products of Canada Ltd.

manufactures custom roller shades and is seeking a couple of individuals to join the production team and manufacture finished products, maintain a clean and organized workplace, assist in various departments such as shipping, material handling and warehousing.


Location:
East York (Eglinton and Victoria Park)

Shift: 7.00am-3.30pm (Monday to Friday)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating product movement between stations to maintain/improve productivity
  • Cutting or assembling duties based on assigned station(s)
  • Some stations designated to work in automation with motorization and Zero Gravity chainless systems
  • Quality inspections completed from previous and current station
  • Ability to lift 30lbs regularily (but may be required to lift up to 70lbs on occasion)
  • Ensuring safe and careful handling of all material and products
  • Observe company safety and security procedures
  • Report unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
  • Hand tools to be used as required for each assigned station(s)
  • Be available for work on weekends if required (occasionally)
  • Other duties and tasks as requested

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Demonstration of being productive, proactive and enthusiastic
  • Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
  • Receptive to development of current skills and changes to processes and assigned station(s)
  • Flexible schedule to allow for extra hours, morning or evening shifts, and occasional week end work

Competency (Skills and Abilities):

  • Must be able to multi task and flexible to shift across multiple stations as required
  • Results oriented and sense of urgency to complete tasks on time
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
