Who are we looking for?

Join us as a Technical Leader for our Advanced Automation Group (AAG) and grow your career with an innovative Automation team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in the municipal and industrial sector to build an automation team in Canada and support client development, initially in the water/wastewater space. This person will work collaboratively with Market Leaders and Commercial Managers in Digital and Core GHD groups to deliver modern plant automation services (., Communications, PLC and SCADA control system design and programming, and Cybersecurity) across Canada and US. It is anticipated you will contribute to overall AAG business planning, and thought leadership based on your experience.

This role is open to any of our locations in Southern Ontario.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

Knowledgeable, and able to understand the latest Industrial Automation Hardware, Software, Communications, Cybersecurity, and IoT devices and platforms Understand the interaction between OT and IT and how to market GHD's proficiencies in this space Support and advance GHD's cyber/physical security presence in municipal and industrial sectors Proven track record of delivering technical demonstrations and POCs Strong integrator experience Partners with internal leaders for client development and execution. Supporting Business Development leaders to accelerate opportunity creation. Facilitate client discussion to address challenges as it relates to digital solutions for operations, maintenance, and security Accountable for helping to drive new insights with the client and working with the Digital Advanced Automation team to ensure client value and ability to complete are front and center Support Advanced Automation business unit strategies and initiatives (internal/external) across all GHD core markets Support the Development of, and build Canadian Automation and Data Solutions department/group (modeled around the current Advanced Automation Business Unit) Collaboration with Vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with managers across GHD Articulating AAG vision to internal partners and supporting the building sales strategy for existing GHD clients Work in a matrix organization Monthly/quarterly forecasting cadence geared towards adding and developing technical staff while coordinating with our Engineering Design Organization and our Core Digital and Marketing leads

What you will bring to the team:

Strong dedication to client service excellence 15+ years in the municipal and industrial in a client development/account management role within the region, municipalities, and Fortune 500 accounts Experience working for or with a Control Systems Integrators and Advanced knowledge of Automation Engineering In-depth knowledge and experience with modern real-time automation and controls systems hardware and software design, communications systems, and integration activities. Travel as needed, primarily in and around the GTA, but occasionally in other regions (estimating 30%) to support prospects and clients Experience with account segmentation and product pricing is a plus Experience with sales team development and global sales is a plus
