Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to establish accurate timelines, milestones, and task dependencies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources effectively in alignment with the project schedule, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Continuously track project progress, collect and analyze actual data, and compare it to the schedule to identify variances and deviations.
  • Perform critical path analysis to identify activities with the most significant impact on project timelines. Focus efforts on ensuring the critical path remains on schedule.
  • Establish and maintain a baseline schedule as a reference point for evaluating project performance and identifying changes and deviations.
  • Manage and assess the impact of change orders, scope changes, and potential disruptions on project schedules. Communicate and document changes and their implications.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact the project schedule. Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate schedule documentation, including progress reports, schedules, historical data, and performance analysis.
  • Prepare and distribute regular schedule performance reports to project management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, variances, and potential issues.
  • Ensure that the schedule is integrated with other project management processes, such as budgeting, quality control, procurement, and risk management.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to optimize the construction schedule by identifying areas for improvement, efficiency gains, or resource reallocation.
  • Ensure that project schedules adhere to contractual obligations, milestones, and deadlines outlined in contracts and agreements.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Previous experience in construction planning or scheduling roles.
  • Proficiency in advanced scheduling software, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Critical thinking and decisionmaking abilities.
