We are building our capacity as leaders in delivering healthy, vibrant, and inclusive communities across North America.

As a Healthcare Planner, you will work collaboratively with our Healthcare Architecture and Interior Design team on large-scale Healthcare projects in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the deliverables for the medical planning team within the project schedule
  • Lead the medical planning process to create department floor plan concepts reflective of operations
  • Provide expertise on institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients on planning issues
  • Understand and guide discussions on medical equipment needs
  • Coordinate all disciplines related to building design and health planning
  • Prepare health planning presentation drawings, diagrams, and narratives
  • Provide planning, design, and coordination support on projects and pursuits
  • Mentor junior team members in health planning practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Healthcare planning
  • Clear understanding of institutional, ambulatory, and business occupancy environments
  • Clear understanding of applicable codes and building construction systems, materials, and standards
  • Understanding of healthcare trends
  • Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans
