Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating the accurate dispatch, fulfillment, and kanban of materials on time within the accountable production area

Accountabilities

  • Provides, maintains and ensures accurate inventory transaction and tracking information of goods. _( ex. system processing, picking, scanning) _
  • Provides and ensures accurate material control and identification of materials. _(ex. cycle counting, location, kanban audits)_
  • Controls and maintains the kanban process within a designated area(s).
  • Places orders for kanban materials with internal and external suppliers.
  • Initiates expediting towards fulfillment of Finished Goods, and Materials shortages.
  • Liaisons with Manufacturing, Production Planning, Purchasing, Traffic, Materials, and Sales to maintain the areas of accountability

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to relate to all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
  • Works well under pressure and able to be productive in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to plan and execute work that is accurate, complete, timely, and reliable. Integrity is never compromised
  • Gathers, analyses, summarizes data in order to draw rational, factbased conclusions
  • The ability and drive to achieve results and goals in the short and long
  • The ability to work collaboratively with customers, suppliers, and fellow associates at all levels toward mutual objectives.

Qualifications

  • 12 year experience in a Manufacturing Environment with specific exposure to Production Planning, Materials, or Logistics.
  • Postsecondary education in Operations or Materials Management
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to relate to all levels of personnel throughout the organization.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office as well as possess a working knowledge of a MRP / ERP system.
