JOB PURPOSE:As a Licensed Practical Nurse reporting to the Clinic Manager, your role involves delivering exceptional customer service to patients and physicians while supporting clinic operations and patient care goals.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Initiating forms, creating billings, and collecting payment for uninsured services
  • Escorting patients to exam rooms and preparing them for physician visits
  • Assisting with minor surgical procedures and medical tests
  • Performing diagnostic testing as ordered by physicians
  • Accurately charting medical procedures in patient records
  • Ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met
  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient documents
  • Participating in staff training and orientation
  • Supporting physicians with various requests
  • Engaging in company initiatives
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Two-year diploma from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience
  • Preference for experience with Med Access software
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information according to guidelines
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong computer skills
  • Current CPR certification and immunization
