The Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) offers a voluntary medical detox program that provides a safe environment for individuals going through alcohol and drug withdrawal. We are seeking compassionate and experienced nursing staff to join our team. In this role, you will conduct medical assessments, triage admissions, administer medications, monitor vital signs and withdrawal symptoms, and adjust treatments as needed. Your focus will be on addressing the medical, physical, and educational needs of our clients in a client-centered and trauma-informed approach. Flexibility, strong clinical skills, organizational skills, and effective communication are essential for this position.
Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will work collaboratively with a healthcare team, applying nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Your responsibilities will involve delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with AHS's values and vision.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. - Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). - Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
