Welcome to STONE HOUSE 1891 on beautiful Pelee Island.
A beautiful 110 seat lakefront, craft kitchen restaurant and historical bar serving customers from both the US and Canada on an island with warm weather and sandy beaches. Winner of BEST ISLAND DINING ON THE GREAT LAKES by Great Lakes Magazine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Highly efficient handson manager who can act as chef when necessary and lead the team.
- Develop menus and food costing, setting and enforcing portion control and presentation standards
- Team hiring, training, scheduling, development and performance management
- Ensure high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, and safety practices.
- Execution of ordering, inventory, food and labor cost controls.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Problem solving, analytical abilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Food Handler certification, knowledge of WHMIS procedures
- Red Seal Certification a definite asset.
- Willingness to relocate to Pelee Island for the season a requirement. Housing Assistance Available,
