Who we are:

Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

  • Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members' lives, with a strong customer focused approach
  • To come to work with a positive, professional attitude and be dependable for all shifts
  • To provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the consumer
  • Fill orders, receive freight, deliver and unload product, and perform inventory counts
  • Build positive relationships with the yard crew, desk, and leadership teams
  • To keep aisles, yard, and stockpiles neat and free of obstruction
  • Perform customer carry out service and product assembly as assigned
  • Complete required paperwork based on department standards
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Practice and maintain safe procedures for the handling and stocking of merchandise
  • Perform other duties as assigned in all areas of the Home Centre

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service and:

  • You have a grade 12; previous work experience in a home centre retail location or building materials industry would be an asset
  • You must possess sufficient knowledge and experience of Lumber and Building Materials to effectively operate in all areas of the location
  • You must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of serving and assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
  • You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision
  • You have a valid Class 5 driver's license, must be willing to obtain forklift certification
  • Must have a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • You must have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements including heavy lifting and carrying
