You will be reporting to the Director of Programs and will be responsible for assisting with a variety of programs and administrative tasks and projects to support the agency's efficient and smooth functioning.

This position will assist the Programs and Office Administrator. Programs Team Leads, and the Senior Leadership Team.
You have some experience working with children and youth and / or adult volunteers and an understanding of social services offered in the Lower Mainland

Position Summary:

The Social Services Assistant will create and / or update program materials, including training manuals, best practices guide, workplans, and other resources.

Additionally, the Social Services Assistant will conduct a review and assessment of previous years' program activities. When applicable, the Social Services Assistant will accompany the Volunteer Coordinator to volunteer recruitment fairs.
Survey existing Program materials (training manuals, program guides, best practices guides, workplans, How-Tos and FAQs) for relevance and completion
Conduct a review of digital Programs folders, create and implement an improved system (folder architecture, naming conventions, etc.)
Create training modules to support onboarding processes in these areas
Restructure digital filing system, provide training & coaching on its use
Assist in other Programs & Agency projects/ events/ activities as requested
Looking to enter post-secondary, currently enrolled or a graduate in the social services field
Previous experience working with children and youth an asset
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and databases an asset
An opportunity to do meaningful work and make a positive impact in the community
An hourly salary of $22.

This Position:

This position can be full-time, up to 35 hours, or part-time, between 9-12 weeks, we are flexible on the number of hours per week.
