The position of Human Resources Analyst will involve supporting the development and implementation of strategic human resource analytics to empower decision-making at Ontario Health regarding talent, compensation, organizational growth, and workforce planning. This role will analyze detailed reports, offer data modeling, and interpretation to facilitate workforce plans that align with Ontario Health's people and organizational strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating operational and analytical reports to monitor workforce activities, aiming to provide strategic insights into the current workforce composition across Ontario Health
  • Engaging in demographic analysis of the workforce to identify risks, impacts, trends, and projections to contribute to assessing present and future capacity
  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses on existing and proposed HR programs, including evaluation of compensation trends, employee engagement, and other vital factors
  • Supporting the analysis of key performance indicators to provide concise recommendations for real-time actions and optimizations (e.g. turnover, talent acquisition and retention, absenteeism, health and safety, wellness, etc.)
  • Mining HR data and analyzing it to deliver meaningful metrics, measurements, and reports
  • Monitoring various HR initiatives (such as succession planning, talent profiles, employee engagement, retention factors, etc.), analyzing and reporting on results, and communicating trends to stakeholders at different levels
  • Assisting in creating detailed cross-functional and interactive divisional dashboards and work plans with crucial milestones to introduce new reports, procedures, and tools
  • Generating scheduled reports to support the HR department
  • Providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and excellent customer service to various departmental stakeholders on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
  • Contributing to the development of presentations to showcase results analysis and storytelling on a monthly and ad hoc basis to senior management
  • Performing ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Carrying out cross-functional and other assigned duties

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Education and Experience:

  • A university degree in an analytical field (e.g., Human Resources, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines)
  • Over 2 years of direct work experience in quantitative analysis with proven outcomes
  • Proficiency in using various data visualization tools and technologies
  • Advanced Excel skills with Power Query
  • A solid understanding of HR data, statistical modeling, predictive modeling, data visualization, storytelling, and decision-making science
  • Experience with Workday is desirable
