EVENTS ASSISTANT CONTRACT (4 MONTHS)

Our client is a leading organization within the Professional Services industry that offers certifications and professional development programs.

They are looking for a creative events professional with a strong skillset in marketing and communications to take charge within a collaborative space and ensure the success of online events.

As an events assistant, you will report to the Director of Corporate Development and Events Management and will be supporting the planning and execution of two inter-provincial events.

Assist the events team with a high number of events
Support with logistical and administrative tasks
Respond to incoming emails and phone calls
Manage event details including paperwork, scheduling, shipping event materials, and communicating with coworkers and vendors
Be present at events to support operations
Identify cost savings options that do not alter the member experience at events
Ensure all items for events arrive on time
Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to, event set up/tear down, registration, assisting with promotion, coordinating with facility staff

Post-secondary education or relevant experience in Event Management or Hospitality
~5 Years of events experience (in-person and virtual) is preferred
~ Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation is an asset
