Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and requirements
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and form metal components
  • Use power tools, such as grinders and saws, to fabricate and assemble metal parts
  • Perform machining tasks, including drilling, tapping, and milling
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
  • Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as machinist; possessing a Journeyman Ticket
  • Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operation
  • Familiarity with CAD software, such as SolidWorks
  • Ability to use power tools effectively and safely
  • Excellent precision machining and bench skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Silvercut CNC 9 Software to control Machitech Plasma table
  • Experience in fabricating metal components using machining techniques
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls is a plus
  • Ability to accurately use measuring tools, such as calipers
  • Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, or equivalent.
  • Certified Red Seal Machinist with a minimum of 2 Years Journeyperson Experience required.
  • Welding, Fabrication, Repair, and Basic CNC Design and Programming required

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
