Having DCC CMM capabilities we offer full inspection requirements. We are currently supplying into many diverse sectors such as the Military, Aerospace, Automotive, Food, Energy and Mining.
We are looking for a skilled General Machinist to join our team at Niagara Precision Limited. As a General Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and components. Your work will be critical to our manufacturing process, and you will play a key role in maintaining quality and precision in our products.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses, and CNC machines
- Read and interpret technical drawings to create parts with precise measurements and tight tolerances.
- Set up and adjust machines as needed to achieve required specifications
- Select appropriate materials and cutting tools for each machining operation
- Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
- Maintain quality control systems to ensure parts meet customer and industry standards
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety regulations and procedures
**Experience**:
- 3+ years of experience in a machining role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes
