The Middle Donor Advisor is responsible for cultivating donor relationships with donors who give between $2K - $25K in order to retain them as a WVC donor year over year, increase or lift their giving and/or, provide lead generation to Major Gifts.

Develop and nurture Middle Donor relationships by providing a best in class customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Donor Facing Activities (80%)

  • Maintain a portfolio of middle donors (2k25K annually,) by building deep and meaningful relationships, discovering donor passions and interests and aligning them with appropriate World Vision products.
  • Update CRM with contact activities, donor account changes, and run reports in CRM eg donor lists.
  • Strategically execute phone campaigns utilizing donor intelligence report and anecdotal information about donors to inform calling strategy.
  • Understand top tier donors in their portfolio including capacity, affinity, giving patterns and seek to lift giving through a targeted and custom strategies.
  • Create customized asks for top donors using resources provided by PHIL enablement.
  • Swift follow up on queries for child sponsors, following up on cases that need clarification including but not limited to drop and replace calls, project closure calls for sponsors.
  • Develop and execute moves management strategy for different types of givers within portfolio (i.e. annual givers, monthly givers, mixed givers.)
  • Create customized stewardship pieces using tools provided by Philanthropy Enablement team.
  • Develop and execute 12 "blitz" initiatives custom to a group of donors in their portfolio per year.
  • 20% of Donor facing activities will focus on Prospecting and discovery of new donors added to their portfolio during 24 pool refreshes per fiscal year.
  • Use tools provided to reach more donors with less effort.
Operational Tasks & Development (20 %)

  • Liaise with Supporter Operations to process donations, follow up on donor requests, make corrections to donations etc.
  • Engage in training, development and professional learning opportunities around soft skills and strong verbal communications skills in order to develop bestinclass donor conversations over the telephone.
  • Actively participate in quarterly retrospective with Philanthropy Enablement partners and Director of Philanthropy engagement.
  • Keep track of weekly priorities and progress on quarterly objectives through 15/Five tool.
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly/biweekly 1:1 meetings with Middle Donor Manager.
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly/biweekly Middle Donor Team Meetings.
  • Participate and receive periodic coaching.
  • Work closely with prospecting team and major gifts team to lead the identification of donors to move up and correct anomalies in portfolio as need.
  • Actively keep record of donors in their portfolio who are at risk of moving back to mass at time of annual pool refresh.
  • Actively keep record of donors in their portfolio who may be better served by Child Sponsorship Advisor and request moves from Prospecting & Research if necessary.
  • Liaise with Child Sponsorship Advisor and Planned Giving Advisor for potential integrated ask strategies.
  • Attend quarterly campaign launch meetings, WV Peer Sharing and Scaling, Philanthropy team devotions, Philanthropy team meetings.

Qualifications required:

  • Superior customer service and communication skills, can speak confidently and maturely about sensitive matters such as personal experience, charitable causes, financial matters.
  • Minimum 4 years of fundraising and/or telemarketing and/or sales experience in a donor/customercentric organization.
  • Achieve or work toward CFRE certification.
  • Experience utilizing a Moves Management Cycle for donor development.
  • Committed to ongoing training and development to sharpen skills.
  • Experience utilizing various fundraising reporting platforms (i.e., CRM, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, AS400).
  • Can analyze data to create donor development strategies.
  • Ability to follow process, disciplined, proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales (or fundraising) performance metrics.
  • Comfortable working in a Christian environment and communicating with a variety of donors who are
