Role Details

  • As a leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.

  • Social Media Management and Newsletter Support
  • Develop and execute innovative social media strategies to enhance Cops for Cancer's online presence.
  • Generate creative ideas for content, including graphics, videos, and posts, to promote events and fundraising initiatives.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and maintain a positive online community.
  • Support the team in the creation and distribution of newsletters, ensuring timely and engaging content.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Volunteers to create promotional materials for events.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans to reach target audiences effectively.
  • Event Support
  • Attend Cops for Cancer events throughout the summer to provide onsite support.
  • Assist in event planning, coordination, and execution to ensure a seamless experience for participants.
  • Capture and document key moments for promotional purposes.
  • Utilize computer programs such as MS Form and Outlook for data collection and communication.
  • Logistics and Prep: Volunteer support, permit's, etc.

  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms, with a creative and strategic approach to content creation.
  • Strong with computer programs, including MS Form and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Position to be filled by: April 26th

Volunteers must be at least 19 years of age or older for this position due to the scope of the role and responsibilities.
