To be responsible for the effective operation of the Pane Fresco Bread Department by maximizing sales and gross profit, ensuring sales' goals and budgets are met and providing customers with the best quality foods, ensuring courteous, timely customer service.

To effectively control inventory through pricing and signage of bread products to achieve company goals and budget so as to maximize sales, profits and shrink targets;

  • To ensure the maintenance of equipment and the safety and sanitation of the production and back room areas, as per Company Policy;
  • To ensure compliance with the company food safety standards, regulations and audits;
  • To respond to any customer inquiries, requests, and complaints, ensuring courteous customer relations at all times;
  • To interpret and administer Company policy and ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement;
  • The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a baker in the retail or food services industry, with a minimum of 3 years' management experience in either a retail or food service operation;
  • Previous managerial experience and knowledge of production schedules is a definite asset;
  • Knowledge of artisan bread and baking is a definite asset;
  • Food Handlers Certification would be an asset;
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours which include days, evening, nights, and weekends;
