The Environment division of SNC-Lavalin is a rapidly growing full-service consulting firm that is committed to technical excellence and exceptional service to our clients.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Supervising and mentoring a team of environmental professionals and technical staff.
  • Provide leadership with a focus on collaboration and instill a culture of diversity, inclusion and equality.
  • Involved with recruitment and retention of staff to build a high performing team; including strategic hires, as appropriate based on workloads and Market requirements.
  • Maximize group utilization, while also ensuring a healthy worklife balance by coordinating resources with other Team Leads.
  • Acting as a direct interface between clients and the SNC-Lavalin project team and/or regulatory bodies, as appropriate.
  • Senior level project management (including technical program development, management of personnel and resources, oversight of budgets and schedules for deliverables, implementing quality assurance reviews, and ensuring client objectives are met).
  • Growing the group revenue from existing client relationships, developing new business and/or expanding lines of business.
  • Identifying project quality/project profitability risks and liabilities, and developing strategies to minimize them.
  • Ensuring proper implementation and continued use of quality assurance programs and corporate policies and procedures, including Ethics and Compliance.
  • Embracing behaviorbased safety and ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

What will you contribute?

  • More than 9 years of practical, progressive environmental consulting experience.
  • Must be licensed as a certified professional and have experience in managing environmental staff.
  • Must be located in Edmonton, Alberta.
  • Proven ability to inspire and supervise, motivate and mentor technical and professional staff at different levels of career development.
  • Sound judgment and problemsolving abilities.
  • Selfmotivated, with the ability to manage time and multiple deliverables accordingly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven technical writing skills.
  • Commitment to excellence with a focus on quality control, quality management and attention to detail; and English proficiency in reading and writing, with bilingualism in French an asset.
