We are currently seeking the position of HSE Lead working out of the Fort Saskatchewan area.

As an HSE Lead, you re accountable for:

  • Being knowledgeable in provincial OHS regulations.
  • Understanding the company HSE program.
  • Leading a team of HSE Coordinators.
  • Interviewing and onboarding team members.
  • Guiding and mentoring their team.
  • Reviewing and working with their team on incident investigations.
  • Completing site visits to review documentation, be involved in inspections and promoting the HSE culture among all site workers.
  • Working closely with operation leaders within their area.
  • Direct and organize safety training for team members.
  • Ensure team members are performing their duties as required at a site level.
  • Building a strong team to support operational needs.
  • Improve safety culture within their area of control.
Sounds challenging and exciting right? Here are a few of the attributes and experience you need to be successful in this position:

  • NCSO certificate.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Must possess current WHMIS 2015 and CSTS.
  • May successfully require completion of preaccess drug and alcohol testing depending on project site.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a Leader.
  • DNV SCAT Investigation experience is considered an asset.
  • Standard First Aid, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection training are considered an asset.
  • Civil construction with excavation, trenching and shoring experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Extremely proficient administrative skills and a highly professional demeanor required.
  • Attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient and competent in the operation of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
