Product Manager
Apex Systems is a Global IT Services Firm and our Staffing practice is looking for a Product Manger with experience working within Credit Rewards space, to place at our client, a Big Five Bank. You will be joining a highly collaborative, fast paced, and high performing team.
Client: Big 5 Bank – Credit Rewards Program
Position Title: Product Owner/Manager

Physical Working Location 2 Days in Downtown Toronto Office
Is this role remote?: No. Hybrid - 2 days in office flexible

Product Manager
The AIR MILES Reward Program is one of Canada's most recognized loyalty programs, with over 10 million active collector accounts, representing more than half of all Canadian households. AIR MILES collectors earn Reward Miles at more than 300 leading Canadian, global and online brands and at thousands of retail and service locations across the country.
The Product Manager is responsible for defining and supporting the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable products that meet customer/business needs over the product-market lifecycle. You will own the go-to-market plan by working closely with Marketing and UX Research, and account for all functional and non-functional requirements of your stakeholders, while tracking the leading indicators (metrics). You will collaborate with a wide range of people to identify and define customer needs, understand the solution context, support the roadmap, and develop the features required to meet these needs.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, eCommerce & Non-Travel Rewards, the Product Manager for Rewards is responsible for helping drive our many Redemption initiatives. They will work closely with our Marketing, Operational, Design, and Technology teams to identify the requirements for the next features and enhancements.
Key KPIs for the Rewards Domain include Redemption Engagement, Website Usage, and NPS.
How Will You Create Impact?

• Understand customer needs – Leverages market research and Continuous Exploration to continually understand customer and market needs. Design thinking tools, ranging from personas, empathy maps, journey maps, and story maps are used to communicate these to the Air Miles Value Streams.

• Ensure product completeness – The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the product is considered 'whole and complete' from a defined customer's perspective. Including all internal stakeholder needs from compliance, finance, legal, Customer Care, A&I, etc.

• Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap – Continuously develop and communicate the vision to the Agile Teams, while defining the features of the system. Collaborate with Solution Architects/Engineering to define and maintain the Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements. Responsible for the product roadmap, which illustrates how features are intended to be implemented over time.

• Manage and prioritize the flow of work – support the flow of work through the product backlog, responsible for ensuring enough features are always ready in the backlog.

• Participate in quarterly planning – During each quarterly planning session, Product Management presents the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming Milestones.

• Define releases and program increments - responsible for release definition, including new features, architecture, and allocations for technical debt.

• Work with Solution Architect/Engineering to understand Enabler work - Collaborate with the Solution Architect/Engineering to jointly sequence the Architectural Runway that will host new business functionality.
Must Have Requirements:
- 3 + years product management, product marketing, business development or technology
- Experience working other loyalty companies
- Previous project management experience
- Lead IT Development Teams
- Detail-oriented and understand the value of prioritization, so handling multiple priorities (and sometimes saying no) in a fast-paced environment is a snap
Soft Skills:
