The Murray Auto Group Chilliwack is looking for our next leader in Accounting


Due to a relocation, we are looking to find a rock-star Automotive Controller to add to our team in beautiful Chilliwack.

The successful applicant will work closely with our General Manager and leadership team to streamline our day-to-day accounting processes for our busy dealership.

  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, and 2 years of automotive accounting.
  • Have excellent leadership skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Easily grasp software concepts and support the systems.
  • A strong workethic

  • What the job entails: _
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and impacts on the organization's procedures and general ledger accounts
  • Develop a collaborative and best practice culture
  • Collaborate with the General Manager
  • Collaborating with the management team develop, document, implement and monitor internal process to ensure they are working as intended, and that will mitigate the risk exposure
  • Maintain uptodate, complete, and systematic documentation to support future internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain an accurate and complete audit trail of supporting documentation for all financial and accounting activities
  • Manage the full cycle accounting and finance
  • Manage deadlines for financial reporting
  • Produce monthly financial statements
  • Review and monitor all financial statements and financial data
  • Perform monthly audits and analysis of the balance sheet, schedules and account reconciliations and advise and address any potential issues or liabilities
  • Government Reporting & Remittances
  • Payroll & Human Resources
  • Month End Payroll Accrual
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Credit Card Reconciliations
  • Hire/Train and lead an accounting team
  • Yearend working papers for accountants
