Fixed Operations Manager to lead the Parts and Service Centre at
Bannister Kia who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our talented Bannister Kia Parts and Service department located in Chilliwack, BC. Previous experience at a Kia dealership is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct, schedule and effectively organize and manage team members, including Automotive Technicians and Service Advisors, to ensure team objectives and service goals are achieved.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to effect efficient operations and to improve processes.
  • Create an exceptional customer service experience by: maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers, delivering quality service, recommending the best products and services, and addressing any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
  • Establish processes & standards to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
  • Regularly audit work being done and customer service being provided to ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly.
  • Handle escalated customer complaints.
  • Maintain service desk, including managing service desk team members and evaluating desk efficiency.
  • Resolve service desk problems and improve current service desk operations to increase productivity and enable amazing customer service.
  • Monitor department operations and client concerns to define patterns and work to improve efficiency.
  • Mentor, coach, train and support the development of all staff.
  • Control and monitor department expenses.
  • Demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Manage the daytoday Service and Parts workflow
  • Actively manage and improve on all measured performance indicators, including: gross sales, profitability, loyalty, CSI, etc.
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the departments and endeavor to meet them
  • Effectively liaise and manage relationships with OEM representatives.
  • Work closely with the administrative department to make sure all outstanding financial items are dealt with quickly and accurately
  • Procurement of shop equipment
  • Supervising and keeping record of shop equipment maintenance.
  • Effective management of warranty submissions to Hyundai
  • Maintain a current parts inventory that is under 12 months old through effective inventory management processes

What you need to be successful:

  • Previous experience at a Kia dealership considered an asset or experience in parts and service
  • Customerfocused team player and detail orientated, with the ability to multitask
  • Positive attitudes with exceptional communication skills
  • Demonstrate, at a minimum, basic computer skills in order to accomplish daily tasks

Capabilities and Credentials

  • Energetic and positive Leader.
  • Minimum 3 years management experience in the automotive service industry.
  • Valid BC Drivers License with a clean/safe driving record.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Front office parts and service experience.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Efficient problemsolving skills.
  • High level of integrity.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered.
  • Ability to train, coach, direct, and encourage automotive technicians, service advisors, and shop supervisor.
  • Ability to motivate and engage team members.
  • Desire to make a difference every day and help build a great team.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and respond to customers immediately.
  • Must be customer oriented, selfmotivated and possess exemplify exceptional phone skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and staff in a professional tactful manner over the phone and in person.
