Business Analyst – IT Resiliency (CSITR) (12 Month Contract)

Location: New Westminster, BC / HybridStaffing Placement Opportunity PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND BACKGROUND

The company is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program. This program aims to enhance cybersecurity and IT resilience across the enterprise. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Manager, the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency team, and various stakeholders to modernize the company's cybersecurity approach.


SERVICES:

The Business Analyst will perform the following tasks:

  • Provide end-to-end business analysis services, including:
  • Documenting current IT infrastructure workloads on-prem and in the cloud.
  • Mapping workloads against hardware life cycles to develop a hardware replacement and cloud migration strategy.
  • Defining and documenting business problems, opportunities, risks, and primary objectives.
  • Leading stakeholder discussions to identify and analyze requirements using various techniques.
  • Evaluating information from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and creating detailed specifications.
  • Documenting business requirements and high-level system design.
  • Documenting current as-is and future to-be business processes.
  • Preparing and presenting decision documentation to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in developing and maintaining project plans, risk and issue logs, and status reporting materials.
  • Facilitating all business analysis-related communications and documentation.


DELIVERABLES:
  • The Business Analyst will produce standard business analysis deliverables, including:
  • Cloud migration approach recommendations.
  • Hardware replacement strategy.
  • Summarized on-prem and cloud workloads.
  • Risk and issue logs.
  • Use case documents or user stories.
  • As-is and future state process diagrams or maps.
  • Fit-gap analysis documents.
  • RACI matrices.
  • Decision analysis documents.
  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Operations and user guides.
  • End user training materials.
  • Meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.
  • Program status reports.


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • Candidates must meet the following qualifications:
  • Experience with cybersecurity, IT resiliency, and IT infrastructure.
  • 7+ years of business analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with formal business analyst training.
  • Experience in IT infrastructure, business systems analysis, or junior engineering.
  • Understanding of data center technologies, on-prem networking, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience conducting current state assessments and recommending cloud migration approaches.
  • Proficiency with IT infrastructure management tools such as vSphere and Azure.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills.
  • Experience leading teams of business analysts and subject matter experts.
  • Proven track record of working with stakeholders to identify, assess, and document business requirements.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into detailed system specifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
