QMC Metering Solutions supplies and integrates several meter technologies to effectively monitor the consumption of electricity, water, gas and thermal energy consumption of commercial and residential properties.

We have offices in Coquitlam, Calgary, and Toronto and have a support and distribution network across the country including Edmonton and Montreal.

The Project Coordinator is an integral member of our team and will directly report to the Sernior Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Tracking, actioning and updating on all tasks and Basic projects assigned by Division Lead and Project Managers.
  • Attend internal project Kickoff meeting, document discussion points and followingup where necessary to complete missing information
  • Coordinating activities, resources, equipment, and information and bring to attention any coordination issues which cannot be resolved
  • Working close with the Project Managers on the developing the initial project schedule, making certain that all scheduling conflicts are resolved
  • Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives when something is not clear after being handled by the sales team.
  • Acting as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports and update clients on progress as needed.
  • Responsible for the submittal, tracking, updates and scheduling for project RMAs
Manage Work Order reports on a weekly basis ensuring information is relevant

  • Communicate with project accountant on any invoicing required throughout the project
  • Responsible for corresponding with customers as required (updating customers on ETA's, shipping updates, delays, following up with customers for more work etc.)
  • Compile work packages for the service teams to review and execute
  • Coordinate and schedule technicians onsite for verification
  • Review service documents submitted for project work to ensure quality and level of completion
  • Preparing S-E04 Appendix for service team and compiling ROI's once completed for complete Measurement Canada package
  • Work with our Health and Safety Office to ensure our technicians are working in conditions in accordance with our health and safety policies and procedures
  • Track progress, deficiencies and ensure ontime delivery of critical milestones
  • Provide 24hr responses to inquiries from team members, subcontractors and clients
  • Manage conflicting priorities
  • Responsible for administrative duties appropriate and necessary for smooth project implementation
  • Coordinate incoming requests from our clients and other departments
  • Update and manage information workflows in our CRM
  • Upon project close out, complete all labor and revenue reporting in CRM and ensure all project documents/files are uploaded to Project Folders in designated locations.
  • Schedule Close Out meeting with division leads

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 23 years' experience in commercial electrical or mechanical systems or equivalent education
  • Familiarity with metering equipment and communication systems
  • Experience in a Quality Assurance environment
  • Valid Ontario Drivers' License and vehicle
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to identify, plan, organize, prioritize in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a dynamic project environment with changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must be fluent in English
  • Highly skilled in a Windows Office environment, knowledge of MS Project, Sharepoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, a must
  • Experience with CRM software an asset
  • Engineering degree is an asset (electrical or mechanical)
  • Certified CAPM or PMP designation is an asset
