HR & Payroll Administrator

This is a Contract Position for up to 18 months.

Payworks this may be the position for you

Must be able to be committed to being onsite.

Responsibilities included, but are not limited to, assisting with:

  • Each team member is expected to contribute to the culture and profitability of the company daily by adhering to core values and holding others accountable to do the same, following company policies, and seeking to fulfill the company's mission and vision through efficiently performing key responsibilities and goals based on role and department.
  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and timely.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the administration of HR programs and policies.
  • Run and produce reports for RRSP and Union Dues.
  • Prepare Letter of Employment.
  • Ensure data accuracy in our HR systems.
  • Support the HR team with adhoc projects as needed.
  • Administrating sales commissions and ensuring that the commission draws are set up accurately.
  • Complete employee verification requests.

Necessary Skills:

  • 5 years of experience.
  • Ready to take on the new challenge of building this department with us.
  • Experience in fullcycle recruitment
  • Maintains an extremely high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Ability to catch on quickly and thrive in a very fastpaced environment.
  • Industry knowledge, specifically in human resources, benefits, and/or software, is a big plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently.
  • Collaborative, positive attitude, and selfmotivated.
