Crew chief:

Position Summary:


The Landscaping Crew Chief is responsible for managing a team of landscaping technicians to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of landscaping technicians to complete daily tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop work schedules and assign tasks to crew members.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee work time
  • Work with the Project Manager to develop project timelines and ensure that work is completed on schedule.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are on hand and in good working condition.
  • Train crew members on proper techniques and best practices in landscaping.
  • Monitor crew performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure that work is being completed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Ensure that crew members adhere to safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscaping.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of landscaping technicians.
  • Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 50 pounds.

Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • English not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON L6T 0B2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Landscape maintenance: 2 years (required)
